Our Optometrists are highly trained healthcare professionals who assess your vision and the health of your eyes. Using advanced technology such as OCT and Optomap imaging, they are able to look beyond your vision alone and carefully evaluate the health of your eyes.

Paul Boyle - Senior Optometrist

Paul is a highly experienced Optometrist with a reputation for delivering thorough, attentive eye examinations in a calm and reassuring manner. He is particularly valued for his ability to explain clinical findings clearly and accessibly, helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident in the care they receive.

He has a strong interest in medical eye care and has completed additional professional qualifications in medical retina and glaucoma. This advanced training enables Paul to assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of eye conditions with precision and confidence.

Paul has spent a significant part of his career working part-time within the hospital eye department, where he gained extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of complex eye diseases. This hospital-based expertise enhances the depth of care he provides within a private practice setting.

Paul Garvey - Senior Optometrist

Paul is a highly experienced Optometrist with a strong focus on delivering individualised, patient-centred care. Known for his friendly and approachable manner combined with his passion for optics, he quickly puts patients at ease, ensuring that every eye examination is not only exceptionally thorough but also comfortable and reassuring.

Alongside his work in private practice, Paul has spent a significant part of his career working part-time within the hospital eye department. During this time, he gained extensive experience in paediatric eye care and the fitting of specialised contact lenses. He continues to work closely with local ophthalmic consultants, providing shared care for patients with medical eye conditions.

Paul has completed an additional professional qualification in medical retina, enabling him to confidently assess and manage a wide range of eye health concerns.

Rhona Davison - Optometrist

Rhona is an experienced optometrist with a strong commitment to high-quality patient care and long-term eye health. She is known for her thorough, attentive eye examinations and her ability to provide clear, personalised advice that helps patients feel confident about their vision and eye health.

Alongside her work at C4 Sightcare, Rhona also works within the Eye Department at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, giving her a broad and up-to-date clinical perspective. She has a particular interest in paediatric eye care and brings a calm, reassuring approach when working with children and families..

Rhona has completed additional professional qualifications in low vision, medical retina and glaucoma, and is currently undertaking further training in independent prescribing. This allows her to manage a wide range of eye conditions with a high level of clinical expertise, ensuring patients receive the most appropriate and effective care.

Our Dispensing Opticians work closely with the Optometrists to translate your clinical results into the right visual solution for you. They are specialists in lenses, frames, and visual correction, ensuring that your spectacles are not only accurate, but comfortable, practical and suited to your lifestyle. Hazel is a skilled Dispensing Optician with extensive experience in helping patients find the perfect eyewear solutions. She is known for her friendly, approachable manner and her ability to provide clear, practical advice that makes the process of choosing glasses or sun protection straightforward and enjoyable.

Hazel spent several years working in the Royal Victoria Infirmary's Optical Department, where she gained valuable experience in a busy environment dealing with a wide range of complex prescriptions and eye conditions.
